ManCat Monday

It is difficult to obtain the friendship of a cat. It is a philosophical animal...one that does not place its affections thoughtlessly. - Theophile Gautier

Well I have no worries to putting my friendship in mum, she treats me super nice and I loves her.

Mum went off with Miss Lynn on Caturday, they went off to where this big fancy building was, mum says it is the Whiskerconsin Capital building. She didn't go off to visit the gov but......
went to see all sorts of peoples selling all sorts of stuff. Mum didn't come home with much.....
just a bunch of these purple things. Eggy-plants which mum likes to make on the burger machine, but these are smaller and different shaped. Mum  has eaten one of them, the one on the left. said it wasn't as tasty as the type she normally eats. She cooked them the same way as she normally does.
Plus it is eclipse day, will have to see if we will be able to see it as it is supposed to be cloudy. Oh well. Just a little over 6 years until the next one.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here, Happy Caturday. Mine day is getting off to a wonderful start. Had lots of nice cuddles with mum in the sleepy spot. Brekkie was sharing some of mum's had salad toast! Score!

Here I am watching mum just afore I got my taste of the ham. Delish!
So what will I do the rest of the day? Play and nap. Hope you do the same.
Happy weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

Our big old grapevine, but mum isn't seeing any grapes this year. She hasn't figured out why, but she had to pull the vines off the lilac next to it. The grapevine kinda gets out of control. Mum sometimes thinks about getting rid of it, but likes the block to the naybors.
So there is the pile of the vines that mum needs to haul off to the compost pile.
So a few flowers as well, these are just outside the kitch-hen window. Mum forgets the name of the of it, plus the lilies that the one naybor calls "naked ladies".
The one below is our ornamental thistle, this one isn't so bad with sending off seeds. We have a few of the other kind of thistles too.
That is all for this week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

ManCat Monday

New Cats are under warranty from the manufacturer: Six Years or 100,000 meows, whichever comes first. - Bill Mason

Oh noes, Six years?! That means my warranty is up. Mum says she doesn't care, she will take care of me.
Me and mum  had a wonderful weekend. First, she stayed home with me, so I got lots of cuddles and pets and good foods.

Mum did something strange on Caturday night, or really early Sunday morning, she got up out of bed and went out and looked at the sky for about an hour. She said she was watching for meteors. She did see a few.

Plus she slept in her regular clothes and not her sleeping clothes. Said it was easier to go outside and be dressed. Then she slept in for a bit as well. But I thinks things are about back to normal schedule.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. Happy Caturday. Hope your weekend is starting out wonderful, mine is. Nice outside and the windows are open.

Mum did some changes around here and earned some green papers at the same time.

Mum's old inside bicycle, that she didn't really use. She put it out on a local website and three people wanted it. She even got some green papers for it!
So the spot once it was gone the other night, but she wasn't done making changes.
Mum got the sucking monster out and clean up those rugs and then took them away to the give it away store. She didn't want them in the house anymore. Then she did lots more cleaning in other places too.
Me, I got up on my tower to stay away from all of the chaos. I think she is done cleaning for a while, hopefully.

Happy weekend.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

We have not seen that kitty who passed through last week. Must have had someplace to be and was just passing through.

Mum is upset at the sqwerls! They wreaked her cute little bird feeder. Her is mum's first picture when she put it out back in February. All shiny, all the bits and bobs attached.
Mum got up the other day, all that was left was the round circle hanging,,,,,
then little bowl part was laying on the ground. Mum tried to fix but....
it didn't look very good. So maybe she needed something new.
So here is the new little feeder, hopefully it will last longer that the last one. Plus mum found this little sock thingy that holds mean worms for birds. She just put it out, so don't know if we will be seeing different birds.
Yep, we still have flowers, here are the cone flowers and a day lily from the back.
That is enuf for now. Hope you enjoyed the flowers and well, the feeder issue.

Love, Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

Hope you enjoyed the photo shoot!

ManCat Monday

Only the most foolish of mice would hide in a cat's ear, but only the wisest of cats would think to look there. - Andrew Mercer

No mice around here to hide from me. They don't try to get in our house anymore and that makes mum happy. Here are some pics from 2011 when Derby got the culprit that wanted to invade our place.

Yeah, I like my grass, but mum hasn't seen me noshing away at it. But then she doesn't sit there and watch me and the grass all the time. Here is a pic of Derby, he loved his grass.
Me, mum and I had a nice quiet weekend together. She was home pretty much all day for both days, just quick runs out for errands.
I sat on her lots to keep her home, it was nice.Have a good week everyone.

Caturday

HiYa, Ducky here. It is a beauty-full morning here today. All sunny and getting nice. Yesterday was a bit cooler out, but no problems for us.

Mum is home this weekend, hooray! Early in the week I made sure I was other places when she first got up. Exploring the dungeon or whatever. So she had to wake up on her own. Now that she is behaving and staying home with me I am back to giving her lots of cuddle time in the AM and back to purring her to sleep at night.

Mum made her pickles the other day, so she has her treat to eat on, but she also brought me a treat. They had cat grass right next to the pickle things, so she brought some home for me. Here I am checking it out.
Even a short video of me getting my first bites. I like the grass a little bit, Derby was a huge fan of this stuff. Then again, he would eat it and then yak it right back up. So mum had to clean up after him.
video

Mum's big container of pickles, they should be ready to try to taste them today. Mum says this is enuf to last her for months.
Back to the open window, like I said, sunny and nice outside. Enjoy the weekend, we will.

Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

Ducky already told you about the big tree haircuts. So he stole our news on that. But we outside kits do say that they did a good job at what they did.

We can show you the moovies that mum took. She showed the big tree branch eating machine, plus a guy up the tree cutting a limb off.
video
Also, the kittie visitor that we had the other day. Mum has a wider picture and you can see Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper down in the far left corner along with the little one. No name, not talk. He sniffed around and kept moving on to the naybors.
Enjoy, see you next week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur.

Tuesday This and That

Mum stayed home today!!! She caught up on all her chores, so she has clean undies to wear and all. Plus clean stuff to go over the undies. So a bit of other things, picking up the house, getting the sucking monster out. All that stuff.

We had a visitor earlier today. Mum went out to see if she could invite it to a meal, but the guy kept going. I was pouncing at the big windows that go to the floor.
Once he or she left, I went back to my nap on mum's lap. Plus we saw Mr Hawk today, came in to get a dove at the feeder, but the dove managed to get away.
Happy August!

ManCat Monday

Are cats lazy? Well, more power to them if they are. Which one of us has not entertained the dream of doing just as he likes, when and how he likes, and as much as he likes? - Fernand Mery

HAHAHA, mum calls this retirement. She does what she wants, when she wants.

So what did she want to do this weekend? You guessed, racy cars. This is there fun event of the year, it is the Cat Race! They don't actually race cats, just named after the cat legend of "Brian Redman's Cat, the Bloodshot Blur with Fur." They gets lots of foods, chick-hen on Caturday night. On Sunday mum got there and found out that one driver was paying for breakfast for all of the workers at the food stand. Whatever they wanted!
Here is the event pin, this year was the Super Hero Cat Race. Some people dressed up as Super Heros, mum didn't. Said it was too hot to wear a costume.

Even though I am a cat, I did not got along. I don't race and wouldn't like all the noise. I stayed home and napped.

Caturday

Happy Caturday gang. Hope all is well with you. I have been working hard these past few days. And working hard at night too.

One night mum was up and prowling around in the dark. She should have been in bed, said it was in-somnia. I don't know what somnia is, but she wanted me to come purr her to sleep. So I did and I stayed in bed with her until the sun came up. So the next night I made sure she went to bed on time and stayed there. I purred her to sleep again. I think she is back on track for her sleeps now.

Yesterday a bunch of guys showed up to give some of our trees a cut. Mum says they look so much nicer now.

Here are a few pictures before the cuts.

Now here are the after pics. There were two guys, so one on each tree that needed trimming. One guy was up in the tree with the bucket from the truck, the other hoisted himself up with a rope and would move around cutting. He even saw me in the front window and said hello.

So, mum says the big outside stuff is done for now. She is happy, but she has to pay for it now!

Happy Weekend.
