Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger.

First we want to send out comforting purrs to Finnegan's family. He ranned off to The Bridge on Tuesday. He was a long time furiend and we will miss him.
Plus we understand it is Straw Hat Day, so here is a straw hat. We don't wear hats!
Fishes report for Trout Towne Tabbies, none seen this past week.

Now what is happening around here in the past week. We had warms over the weekend, windows open, then we got boomer storms and rain. So the grass is green and growing like crazy. Mum is out with the monster eating it up now.

Two lovely red tulips all blooming and you see the flower bent over behind them.
Mum held the flower up to get a good picture.
Although the haven't bloomed yet, some of the new tulips have multi flower on one flower stalk. So we are excited to see them all the way open soon.

As the boys reported on ManCat Monday, we had some new fevver visitors this past week.

Mum spotted Mrs Oriole up in the tree. She had just taken a nice bath and was smoothing out her fevvers. A little later mum saw Mr and Mrs O getting amorous in the crabby apple tree. She was nice and didn't take pictures.
The Mr Rose-breasted Grosbeak showed up at the one feeder and then sampled some of the fruit on the oriole feeder.
Mr Hummer taking a drink, we have been seeing hummers everytime we look out the window. So they like us and our feeder.
Last, Mr Rose-breasted Grosbeak over at the water tank getting some refreshments.
So lots going on around here. So hope we have more to report next week.

Love, Virginger.

  6. You have the coolest birds. We don't have any of those. Thanks for noticing Lisbeth and Astrid on today's CB calendar. They were inseparable as kittens, but now they don't like each other at all. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  7. Ooo such a lovely garden!

Thank you guys for your kind words on our blog - I'm thrilled to say I'm back home again and I'm starting to rumble around a bit more normally! We were really scared and it sure helped to see your kind wishes :)

  8. We don't see many hummers around here, but maybe we just need to plant the right blossoms to attract them. The kitties will probably run and hide if they heard a hummingbird on the other side of the window!
