Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Yes, we know it is December, but stuff is still happening outside! We have been inside for a few weeks, but we can snoopervise from the windows!
Mum mowed the lawn one last time this past Sunday. It has been mild and rainy, so the grass did grow a little bit. Plus mum could chew up the last of the leaves from the trees. Yes, you can see mum's shadow!
This was the little corner of the yard that mum yanked out some icky plants and put grass seed down in late September, early October. With the mild temperatures and rain, the grass did grow. Mum didn't water it much, she just relied on Mother Nature.

When mum was done she just left the mower run until it was all out of gas. This way it is good for the machine to not sit with gas in it. Some fittings get icky if they sit in gas. Mum let it run for over a half hour and it still wasn't done. She couldn't see any gas, she says this thing must be able to run on fumes!
Then since it was nice she sat outside for a while, she also put out the red bows on the front of the garage and by the front door. Plus the wreath is on the door.
We have to rest up today. There will be Packer feetball tonight. Again? On Thursday? Yep, that is what mum says. Will see if the "Not Ready for Prime Time Packers" show up again!

See you soon. Love, Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

  1. My dad mowed the lawn yesterday. It was so wet and soggy that it made a mess, but he said he couldn't leave it any longer because it is still growing and getting thicker and thicker. I got muddy paws when I went on garden patrol last night.

  4. We forget that up north you don't mow in the winter. We mow less here since it's the dry season, but it's a year round thing here or we would be living in a jungle! Why is it that the mower runs on fumes when you want it to run out, but runs out when you're trying to mow that last little bit of lawn?
